SCX Special Projects, along with all of the SCX Group companies, has been certified to ISO 14001, the International Environmental Management Standard.
The attainment demonstrates the Group’s commitment to the environment, in terms of its operations and reduction of materials use, and incorporates all sites, including SCX Special Projects’ recently acquired Assembly & Test Facility in North Sheffield. This includes reducing energy use by monitoring and managing demand, reusing materials such as packaging and reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfill, i.e. by the adoption of the Hierarchy of Waste and the four ‘Rs’ principle: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Responsible Disposal.
The attainment of this accreditation is only one part of the SCX Group’s commitment to continual improvement;the management of our Environmental impacts will be on-going.
The SCX Group will be cascading the attainment to its suppliers and customers, with the express intent of encouraging these organisations to be equally committed to the Environment.
